Our second Open Inclsuive Championships in West Oxfordshire. A wonderful competition open to entries from around the world.  We welcome all ages from 6 and upto 106 of all abilities from fully dependant to fully able including hidden disabilities and mental health.  Come and compete or simply watch and enjoy! We would love to see you.

Classifications are defined as:

Wheelchair Class 1 - Less able limitied movement wheelchair users

Wheelchair Class 2 - More able wheelchair users

Inclusive catagory includes but is not limited to, Standing dancers with Hidden Disabilities, Vision and Hearing Loss, ASD, ADHD, Learning difficulties / disabilities, Dypraxia. 

Seated - (Static) - Individuals who may not be able to stand to perform but may be able to walk onto the dance floor and is not a wheelchair user. 

Non-Disabled - Dancers who do not have a disability but would like to compete in a relaxed, fun environment.

Professionals - Just for the fun of compeating.

Rules  and Eligiabiltiy of Competition:

Eligibility: This event is open to all Wheelchair Dancers & Standing Inclusive Dancers. 

Sections for dancers who are wheelchair users (powered / attendant & selfpropelling, Vision Impaired, Audio impaired, learning disabilities & ASD) all competitors will be included subject to entries. Classification: Couples / Solo dancers will be dancing in two classes Class (LWD) 1: Class (LWD) 2: 

Doping: Doping is forbidden in accordance with IPC Anti-Doping Code 

Liability: The organisers are not liable for personal injuries, damage, or loss of property

Dances - Timing: 

Standard Ballroom Dances  Class 1: 

Waltz:                      28-30BPM

Tango:                    31-33 BPM

Viennese Waltz: 56-58 BPM

Slow Foxtrot:       28-30 BPM

Quickstep:           48-50BPM

Standard Ballroom Dances  Class 2: 

Waltz:                      28-30BPM

Time limits: 

A minimum of 1½ minutes for Waltz, Tango, Slow Foxtrot and Quickstep. A minimum of 1 minute for Viennese Waltz.

A maximum of 1½ minutes for Samba, Cha-Cha-Cha, Rumba and Paso Doble.  A maximum of 1 minute for Jive

TEN DANCE CHAMPIONSHIP: Combi, Duo & Standing Slow Waltz, Tango, Slow Foxtrot, Viennese  Waltz,Quickstep, Samba, Cha-Cha-Cha, Rumba, Paso Doble, Jive 

GROUP DANCE:  Time limit: 2.5 - 3 Minutes, including Entry and Exit. Props are  permitted but should be kept to a minimum 

Inclusive pairs, in which one of the  partners is physically disabled. Inclusive dance groups, that have members  with a disability, and members without a disability.

FREESTYLE: 

Athletes may choose any type of music for Freestyle ShowdanceEvents

 The  music must meet a specific length:  

The duration for Singles: 1:30 min to 2min 

The duration for Combi: 2:30 to 3min 

The duration for Duo: 2:00 to 2:30min  

Dancers must submit their music no later then 30th April 2024 via Wetransfer in mp3 format. Music  should be audible and cleanly edited. 

Costumes: Dancers can wear appropriate and safe attire for their needs and choice.  Please be mindful of timings of events as we will be running to a strict time  scale and cannot over run in time. Entry numbers must be placed on the  back of the dance chair or standing dancer / leading standing partner.
