Our second Open Inclusive Championships in West Oxfordshire. A wonderful competition open to entries from around the world.  We welcome all ages from 6 and up to 106 of all abilities from fully dependant to fully able including hidden disabilities and mental health.  Come and compete or simply watch and enjoy! We would love to see you. 



Competitor tickets will be available until 30th April 2024

Spectator tickets will be available until 30th April 2024

All lunch tickets will be available until 30th April to allow for catering.


Classifications are defined as:

Wheelchair Class 1 - Less able limited movement wheelchair users

Wheelchair Class 2 - More able wheelchair users

Inclusive - includes but is not limited to, Standing dancers with Hidden Disabilities, Vision and Hearing Loss, ASD, ADHD, Learning difficulties / disabilities, Dyspraxia. 

Seated - Individuals who may not be able to stand to perform but may be able to walk onto the dance floor and is not a wheelchair user. 

Non-Disabled - Dancers who do not have a disability but would like to compete in a relaxed, fun environment.

Professionals - Just for the fun of competing. 

Video Entries: Will be accepted for all the above categories for those unable to attend the competition in person.

Rules and Eligibility of Competition:


Eligibility: This event is open to all Wheelchair Dancers,  Standing and Seated Inclusive Dancers, able bodied and professional dancers

Sections for dancers who are wheelchair users (powered / attendant & self-propelling, Vision Impaired, Audio impaired, learning disabilities & ASD) all competitors will be included subject to entries. Classification: Couples / Solo dancers will be dancing in two classes Class (LWD) 1: Class (LWD) 2: 

Video Entries: All video Entries must be submitted by 30th April 2024. All rules apply to video entries as per face to face competing. By signing up to take part you agree to your photos and videos being used for publicity and marketing by Sunrae Inclusive Dance. Doping: Doping is forbidden in accordance with IPC Anti-Doping Code 


Liability: The organisers are not liable for personal injuries, damage, or loss of property. All dancers / Dance Schools should carry their own insurance suitable for the event.

Standard Ballroom Dances  Class 1: 

Waltz:                      28-30BPM

Tango:                    31-33 BPM

Viennese Waltz: 56-58 BPM

Slow Foxtrot:       28-30 BPM

Quickstep:           48-50BPM


Standard Ballroom Dances  Class 2: 

Waltz:                      28-30BPM

Tango:                    31-33 BPM

Viennese Waltz: 58-60 BPM

Slow Foxtrot:       28-30 BPM

Quickstep:           50-52 BPM


Latin-American Dances: Class 1:

Samba                 48-50- BPM

Cha-Cha-Cha    28-30 BPM

Rumba:               28-27 BPM

Paso Doble:       58-60 BPM

Jive:                     40-42 BPM 


Latin-American Dances: Class 2:

Samba               50-52- BPM

Cha-Cha-Cha  30-32 BPM

Rumba:             28-27 BPM

Paso Doble:    60-62 BPM

Jive:                  42-44 BPM 


Time limits: 

A minimum of 1½ minutes for Waltz, Tango, Slow Foxtrot and Quickstep. A minimum of 1 minute for Viennese Waltz.

A maximum of 1½ minutes for Samba, Cha-Cha-Cha, Rumba and Paso Doble.  A maximum of 1 minute for Jive

TEN DANCE CHAMPIONSHIP: Combi, Duo & Standing Slow Waltz, Tango, Slow Foxtrot, Viennese  Waltz,Quickstep, Samba, Cha-Cha-Cha, Rumba, Paso Doble, Jive 


GROUP DANCE:  Time limit: 2.5 - 3 Minutes, including Entry and Exit. Props are  permitted but should be kept to a minimum 

Inclusive pairs, in which one of the  partners is physically disabled. Inclusive dance groups, that have members  with a disability, and members without a disability.



Athletes may choose any type of music for Freestyle Showdance Events

 The  music must meet a specific length:  

The duration for Singles: 1:30 min to 2min 

The duration for Combi: 2:30 to 3min 

The duration for Duo: 2:00 to 2:30min  


Music: Dancers must submit their music no later then 30th April 2024 via WeTransfer in mp3 format. Music  should be audible and cleanly edited. 


Costumes: Dancers can wear appropriate and safe attire for their needs and choice.  Please be mindful of timings of events as we will be running to a strict time  scale and cannot over run in time. Entry numbers must be placed on the  back of the dance chair or standing dancer / leading standing partner.
